Time to Regroup
We had been worshipping online, for the most part, for over a year now. For most people, it had been a challenging experience and at the same time, it opens us new opportunities for communities like ours. We learned new ways of doing things. We learned what is essential and what is not. We also took care of the necessary things while everyone was away such as some badly needed renovations of the Sanctuary and more.
Now we are ready for you to return. Please join us for worship in person on Easter Sunday. Of course, we will keep our distance, mask, and cleaning procedures as before. But especially if you are already vaccinated and want to be part of a worshipping community in person, why not start on Easter Sunday? I am sure we have enough seating for all who might be here for Easter Sunday. If we do not, we will have overflow seating in the parish hall.
One more thing. Holy Week is not necessarily because one week is holier than the other weeks of the year. I am sure I don't need to tell you that. We are dedicating one week to remind ourselves that every day of our lives is holy and sacred. Every moment is holy and dedicated to the Lord. Whether we realize it or not, we are always living in the sacred moment. The more we bring that awareness into our minds, the easier it gets to live through the hardest moments of life. So, I like to invite you to participate in the Holy Week Celebrations on zoom and in-person and renew your mind, body, and spirit.

Parents and Children: Bring your basket and join us immediately after the April 4th 10:30 am Easter Sunday service. Hop on over for some fun. Children will look for eggs until they are all gone. They will go home with a special treat! Someone may surprise us at the garden! You do not want to miss it!

Easter Lilies
peace lilies
It is our tradition on Easter to welcome flowers back to the Altar with a display of Easter Lilies. These flowers we give in memory, honor and/or thanksgiving for the people we love. On Easter Sunday these loved ones are listed in the Easter Bulletin. If you would like for your dedication to be included in this years bulletin, please follow the link that follows. Click Here. You can also fill out the flower form insert in your Sunday bulletin and drop it in the offering plate.
Everything Holy
Everything Holy comes from the belief that everyday life experience provides us with ample opportunity to transform seemingly mundane moments - like grocery shopping, studying, gardening or working - into something more.
Holy Week Outreach News
As the last days of Lent approach and we look towards Holy Week, we have choices to make about where we would like to focus our Outreach Giving. The Outreach Committee has designated the following as St. James seasonal $$$ recipients:
Lenten Offering: ERD's "One Thousand Days of Love" project to help children 0-3 worldwide (these funds are used as the basis amounts for future matching $$ grants)
Good Friday Offering: "The Church of Jerusalem" which supports the Episcopal Church in the MiddleEast
Easter Offering: "McDonald's Tooth Truck" providing dental care to local underserved children
Please tell us how you would like your donation designated. Of course you are welcome to support ALL three worthy ministries!
